Why is what we do necessary?

Clean air is one of the most debated topics of the day. Many companies talk about ways to make a real change, but few can, as the ability to apply solutions to the problem doesn’t exist. GWTI’s G-Reformer® technology is a unique technology that will significantly improve processes many industries use today. GWTI has proven this. It is not a “demonstration” technology.

What is the impact of our technology?

GWTI can convert stranded (no removal system) gas, which can either remain locked in the earth or flared into the atmosphere, into various liquids that can be removed by truck or train today. Economically, undervalued or “worthless” stranded gas can be monetized for great value. In the case of hydrogen, GWTI converts natural gas to hydrogen with unprecedented efficiency at the point of use. Economically, it promises to change hydrogen from a future promise to a fuel that will economically compete with other available fuels today while nearly eliminating atmospheric carbon release in the process.

Why is our technology different?

When deployed, current natural gas conversion technologies are enormous and can cost hundreds of millions of dollars. In the case of GTL or GTM, GWTI converts natural gas to removable liquid at the wellhead or from readily available natural gas from any source. In the case of hydrogen, GWTI creates hydrogen at the point of use from natural gas at a price that competes head-to-head with all other fuels today, including diesel and gasoline. Our technologies use a unique and patented technology co-developed by GWTI and the University of Texas at Arlington. Because GWTI’s unique processes are exothermic (heat producing), carbon-emitting external heating is not required for GWTI’s processes. This makes GWTI’s processes extremely energy efficient.

What is our potential?

In the case of GTL, 70% of the developed natural gas today is stranded and economically worthless. GWTI’s GTL system can monetize this to a value tens of times that of commercially available gas. GWTI makes abundant quantities of hydrogen from natural gas at the point of use without the expensive cost of compression and transport. GWTI can provide hydrogen to various types of industrial sites at a price that makes hydrogen a genuine contender as a fuel. Electrical generation alone could be a multi-billion fuel replacement market.

Where can plants be deployed?

For any of GWTI’s applications, plants can be deployed anywhere there is natural gas and a need for the offtake.

Are there environmental benefits?

In the case of natural gas to liquid or methanol, GWTI can eliminate the venting or flaring of unwanted gas at any site where the technology is deployed with virtually no carbon emissions into the atmosphere. In the case of hydrogen, GWTI converts natural gas to hydrogen with a near-zero carbon release into the atmosphere. Because hydrogen is created at the point of use, GWTI eliminates the great expense of compressing and delivering hydrogen to remote locations, plus the associated environmental costs.
